Hi

I wrote to the department of the Attorney General some time ago requesting permission to republish the SA Hansard and bring it in line with Federal Hansard which is available at http://www.openaustralia.org Requests have also been submitted to other States and Territories. I called the office to follow up and was told that Jane Abbey who I had been in correspondence with, was no longer working in the department. I then left a message at the office. That was a couple of weeks ago, so could you please let me know if someone actively dealing with my request now, and the status of that request.

I look forward to hearing from you,
Kat

No further reply to this mail yesterday, but I received a phone call today from an Adelaide phone number this afternoon a little after 2pm. Unfortunately I was not able to get a response when I called back a few minutes later. Will try again tomorrow afternoon.

Dear Mr Spencer,

Unfortunately I am unlikely to be free to call you tomorrow afternoon, as I volunteer with another organisation 12-4 on Wednesdays. Please can you let me know an alternative time during which I may contact you, otherwise I may arrange for someone else to be in touch regarding this matter.

In the meantime to get a sense of what we do, please have a look at http://www.openaustralia.org/debates/?id=2009-03-18.118.2

OpenAustralia is a volunteer organisation that has, with permission, republished the Federal hansard of the House of Representatives and the Senate. We aim to make the information more user friendly and more easilty accessible, so all Australians can follow what is happening in Government at all levels.

It is our intention to republish the States' hansards as we have done with the Federal, as well as other relevent information such as the Register of Interests.

Best regards, Kat
